Borussia Dortmund vs Sevilla
Champions League | 9th March 2021 | 20.00pm

After a five goal thriller in the last leg it's Dortmund vs Sevilla and another goal fest is expected!
Dortmund games have almost guaranteed goals all season long and the last leg in Sevilla was no exception. They also shared a 6 goal thriller with Bayern Munich at the weekend and in Bundesliga you have to go back 2 months to find the last time a game didn't go over 2.5 goals.
Haaland scored 2 against Bayern and also scored 2 against Sevilla but has been a slight injury doubt, fortunately for Dortmund he is expected to start the game.
Sevilla lost at the weekend to Elche but did rest players with an eye on this game and should certainly come into it fresher with Dortmund playing a much tougher match.
It's going to be a tough ask for Sevilla with Dortmund securing 3 away goals in the first leg.
They will need to win by 2 clear goals or score 4 in and win by 1 goal.
Some interesting points from Dortmund manager Terzic there. Firstly he mentions Sevilla's recent results not being great. It is a very interesting run of form. Prior to the first leg Sevilla had won 9 in a row. They then went on to lose 4 of their next 5. The loss seemed to really dent confidence in the Sevilla camp.
Secondly he states Dortmund will show them a different intensity. This seems to be an odd plan for a team that should be coming into this game the much more tired side.
Head to Head
The first leg was a 3-2 win for Dortmund. Haaland scored 2 for Dortmund and was joined on the scoresheet by Dahoud and Suso and De Jong for Sevilla. Sevilla had 6 corners whilst Dortmund had 3. There were 2 yellow cards for Dortmund and only 1 for Sevilla.
For me the best route will be to back goals again. Dortmund are not capable of keeping a clean sheet and will need to stick to trying to score more than the opposition so i would not expect them to come trying to defend only and protect the lead.
