Chelsea vs West Brom

Premier League | 3rd April 2021 | 12.30pm

In the first Premier League game after the International Break, Chelsea unbeaten in 15 games host a West Brom side that has only won 1 game in their last 10.

It sounds like there is only going to be one outcome there, but at odds of 1/5 for a Chelsea win the bookies know it but there is plenty of value if you look hard enough.

It has been a good International Break for Mason Mount who impressed for England and grabbed a goal against Albania, Reece James and Ben Chilwell also featured.

Havertz scored for Germany whilst Werner missed an absolute sitter.

With Chelsea having players playing midweek, West Brom will certainly be fresher.

Chelsea - Team Form

Whilst Chelsea are unbeaten in 15 they have drawn 3 of their last 5 games, winning the other two.

They need to start turning those wins into draws and finding more fluency in attack. They have though performed very strongly in defence keeping four clean sheets in a row.

None of Chelsea's last five games have gone over 2.5 goals.

Chelsea have been a mixed bag for corners winning 5, 7 and 2 and have not received a card in their last three games.

They have though performed well for shots on target, hitting 8 ,9 , 6, 5 and 4 in their last five games. Havertz hit four of them against Leeds whilst Werner hit two.

West Brom - Team Form

West Brom have only won 1 of their last 10 and have only scored once in their last 5 games. Those stats make terrible reading for a team going up against a defence as good as Chelsea's.

None of West Brom's last five games have gone over 1.5 goals.

In their last game against Crystal Palace they didn't even have a shot on target.

Defensively they have been very solid though, keeping three clean sheets in their last 5 games.

Betting Tips

I don't think you can look past under 2.5 goals and shots on target for Chelsea with some great odds available.

Our Tips:

Havertz at least 1 shot on target 7/10

Under 2.5 goals 6/5

Prediction:

1-0
