The Champions League Quarter Finals kick off tonight and it's Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund in what should be an absolutely cracking tie.

As brilliant as Man City have been that does seem a bit short to me on first glance. Manchester City have won their last five matches in a row, beating Leicester City 2-0 and Everton 2-0 in their last two matches as well as Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0 in their last Champions League match.
Man City have kept a clean sheet for four games in a row but conceded in all four of their previous games before that.
Man City have been inconsistent for corners and average just over 4 per game. They have been picking up yellow cards recently with 3, 1 and 2 in their last three games.

Borussia Dortmund have been in very inconsistent form recently and have only won one of their last five matches, with their last two results particularly poor: a 1-2 loss to Frankfurt and a 2-2 draw with Koln.

They are certainly prolific but the key question is how many of those were against good defenses and sides as good as City and the answer is close to zero. They have scored against Bayern Munich consistently in that period but Bayern have not been at their best defensively this season.
