Manchester City vs Leeds

Premier League | 10th April 2021 | 12.30pm

The Premier League Saturday lunchtime kick off is Manchester City vs Leeds and with Sterling, Aguero and Jesus all on the bench midweek could we see a very attacking Man City side?

As always it's impossible to guess what Pep Guardiola will do but it looks likely and that would certainly be a fearsome front three. Let's take a look at the stats and best betting tips.

These two last faced each other back in October and that was somewhat surprisingly a 1-1 draw with goals from Sterling and Rodrigo and Biesla showing he can match Guardiola in the tactical battle even with a much less expensively assembled side. Man City have improved significantly since October though.

Manchester City - Team Form

Manchester City have won their last six matches in a row, winning 2-1 in midweek against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League with a late Foden winner and before that beating Leicester City 2-0 and Everton 2-0 in the Premier League.

Man City had kept a clean sheet for four games in a row prior to the Dortmund game.

Man City have been inconsistent for corners and average just over 4 per game. They have been picking up yellow cards recently but again inconsistently with 0. 3, 1, 2 and 0 in their last five games.

Leeds - Team Form

Leeds have been pretty inconsistent but have won both of their last two matches. Both 2-1 victories over Sheffield United and Fulham. Prior to that they drew 0-0 with Chelsea.

Leeds have only scored in 2 of their last 5 matches.

Leeds have been very strong for corners picking up 5, 7, 8, 6 and 7 in their last five matches. They have also picked up a yellow cards in all five of those games averaging two per game.

Betting Tips

The stats support Leeds failing to score so Man City winning to nil or on a handicap would be a good bet. Corners look really appealing.
